a Berlin apartment in midnight blue, rust and gold.

Starting point

A city apartment in Berlin with oak floors, tall windows and a terrace. The name says it already: a home that looks entirely like the people who live in it.

Turning point

We worked with a few strong colours. Midnight blue velvet on the sofa and the bed, cushions in rust and orange, gold in the crane painting above the sofa, on the bar cart and on the lattice beside the shelves. Floor-length curtains in warm grey soften almost every wall, and in front of them stands a wooden desk with a fluted front.

Result

Patterns tell the rest: monkeys on the bathroom wallpaper, a jungle of tigers and flamingos on the hallway bench, fine plant drawings in the nursery. In between, calm surfaces, a white kitchen with an island and small things you only notice at second glance, like the red ceramic vase on the console or the balloon above the cot.
