Inside and out, a part of the woods.
A cottage where the heartbeat aligns with the trees.
Starting point
An estate kept still by the passing of time, hidden deep in the Brandenburg forest, once a store for farming equipment and hay. The premise was set before the survey began: inside and out, a part of the woods.
Turning point
We let the existing building set the terms. We worked with local trades and sourced materials regionally where possible.
"Be it on long summer nights or cozy winter evenings, the feeling of being part of the mighty forest follows you inside and out. The own heartbeat seems to align with the rhythm of the trees."
Result
A house that serves an entire family and works as a high-end rental retreat at the same time. Wooden beams, woven textures, mint-green cabinetry. What stood for decades as a barn now stands for decades as a home.
"Tell us about your home, your timeline, what you are hoping for. We will listen, then come back with a concept and a realistic cost estimate, before you commit to anything."
